The Lion Armor sprues will build 5 survivors. I built all 5 as Lion but you may want to keep the 5th set of legs in reserve to compose a miniature with other sprues. These are my KickStarter "spares" but after the build I wouldn’t make any significant changes. The flash (manufacturing/connecting plastic waste) around the collars can be problematic. Some of the lower torso (hip) sections have small seams that will need a bit of filling before paint.
Main sprue front. Note that many weapons have a left and right hand while others are "bare" weapons to use with the hands on the accessories sprue
Accessories sprue front - this has arm identifier markings, look for letters and numbers to match them up.
Forest sent a note via email that the pieces just left of the bottom center can be used as collars on the female torsos
Arm assembly notes. Most of the arms are two parts with a separate inside forearm. The letters noted are from the accessories sprue and are referenced in the build notes below
Male A build:
- uses arms K and J
- torso: two part with cape. also has shoulder sections attaching on the upper shoulder over the torso (not pictured, on the accessories sprue)
- legs come assembled with a groin cover and trapezoid shaped rear section (not pictured, on the accessories sprue)
- head is the greco-roman male
- weapons are open hand and spear
Male B build:
- uses arms I and H
- torso: two part. also has shoulder sections attaching on the upper shoulder over the torso (not pictured, on the accessories sprue)
- legs come assembled with a groin cover and trapezoid shaped rear section (not pictured, on the accessories sprue)
- head is the male two part lion headdress
- weapons are left and right hand daggers
Female A build:
- uses arms J and L
- torso: four part with two part upper and two part lower. select one of two female upper and lower and combine with skirting front and rear
- legs are two part separate and depend on the torso selected. check fitment or lefts are there are two different molds
- head is the female two part bar lion headdress
- weapons are open hand with harp
Female B build:
- uses arms A and F
- torso: four part with two part upper and two part lower. select one of two female upper and lower and combine with skirting front and rear
- legs are two part separate and are torso specific. check fitment or lefts are there are two different molds
- head is the female two part slot lion headdress
- planned weapons were dagger with bow
- final build ended up being a the dagger and open hand. the bow didn’t slot in to the arm at a good angle so switched to open hand
Female C build:
- uses arms C and D
- torso: five part with three part slotted upper with cape and two part lower.
- legs are two part separate and depend on the torso selected. check fitment or lefts are there are two different molds
- head is the Greco-Roman female. the headdress heads will not fit with the caped torso
- weapons are open hand with bow. the cape ends up further away from the body than you first think, flows away from the body more than the male
